Lead Software Engineer · Dhaka, Bangladesh
I'm Tanjil Ahmed, a Lead Software Engineer with 10+ years of experience across Laravel, Next.js, React, WordPress, DevOps, and AI-powered applications.
About
For over ten years I've been the engineer businesses call when a web application has to do more than exist — when it has to handle real traffic, real money, and real growth. My work spans e-commerce platforms, SaaS products, CMS systems, AI tools, and WordPress products shipped to marketplace standards.
As Lead Software Engineer at Notionhive, I own architecture decisions end to end: designing high-performance backends in Laravel, building modern frontends with Next.js and React, automating delivery with CI/CD, and integrating AI where it creates genuine business value — not where it just demos well.
Just as important as the systems are the people who build them. I mentor developers, run code reviews that teach rather than gatekeep, and translate business requirements into technical plans that teams can actually execute.

Ten years across the stack means I don't hand problems between silos — I design the whole system and know where it will bend before it breaks.

Writing
Thinking out loud about architecture, performance, AI integration, and the craft of building software that lasts.

The patterns I reach for when a Laravel codebase needs to survive years of growth: bounded contexts, thin controllers, and queues as a first-class citizen.

Commerce frontends live and die by perceived speed. How server components, smart caching, and disciplined hydration turn catalogs into conversion.

A decision framework from someone who ships all three: match the tool to the team that will run the platform, not to developer preference.
Technical Philosophy
Clean architecture matters because software should be easy to maintain, scale, and hand over. Good engineering is not just making something work — it is making it reliable, readable, secure, and ready for business growth.
01
Readable by the next engineer, not just the author.
02
Boundaries and patterns that welcome the 200th feature.
03
Threat modeling before launch, not after the incident.
04
Measured on real devices and real networks.
05
AI where it creates value — grounded, scoped, and shipped.
06
Code reviews that teach; engineers who outgrow their roles.
07
Technical decisions traced back to business outcomes.
